Ogun Police Raid Criminal Hideout in Ijagun Community

The Ogun State Police Command has undertaken a concerted effort to tackle criminal activity in the Ijagun community, aiming to eliminate violence in identified black spots. Led by the Divisional Crime Officer of the IGBEBA division, a joint patrol involving members of the OPC and VGN was conducted on March 27, lasting approximately three hours.

According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, during the raid, suspected criminals apprehended at the black spot failed to provide satisfactory explanations for their presence. Their identities remain undisclosed pending further investigations.

She said, “Three Bajaj Motorcycles were intercepted at the scene with registration number MEK 604WL, MEK 23VV and JBD 701 VC.

“The arrested suspects will be screened and if found culpable will immediately be charged to Court.

“We call on the cooperation of the Ijagun Community to support the efforts of the divisional police officer to report criminals who have refused to commit to meaningful sources of income.

“The Ogun State Police is committed to ensuring your safety, and that is the reason for conducting routine patrols, and we implore young persons not to wander at odd hours, and also not to roam around the street aimlessly. Anyone found in suspicious areas will be arrested.”
