NSCDC Lauds Lagos Fire Service

The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) paid a thank you visit to the headquarters of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

The State Commandant, Usman Ishaq Alfadarai was welcomed by the Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Adeseye Margaret. He extolled the commitment of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in putting out the last weekend Fire outbreak and ensuring the safety of lives and properties at the command’s headquarters.

Also, he applauded the Firemen on their response time and doggedness in handling the incident. In the same vein he expressed his satisfaction with the agency, its edifice and the huge investment of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on facilities for Public Safety and Order.

Futhermore, Alfadarai requested for collaboration on joint training of the Corps and Firemen to reduce the attack on Firemen in the cause of operations while showing readiness to dispatch NSCDC crew in defense of Firemen as enshrined in the national emergency/disaster response plan.

Adeseye, the host, applauded the Commandant’s gesture and pledged to swiftly reciprocate the visit to pave the way for harmonious working synergy as layed out during the discuss.

Recall that on Saturday, 13th May, 2023, at about 03:30hrs, a section of the NSCDC, Lagos State Command’s Headquarters, was engulfed by Fire at the storage facility, where some exhibits were stored.
