NPFL Gameweek 9: El-Kanemi Stun Warriors In Umuahia Amid Five Draws

Welcome to today’s coverage of matches in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Only six Matchday 9 fixtures will be decided today as four sides have dates with Caf club competitions.

Nigerian champions Rangers will square off against Algerian side JS Saoura in the second leg of their Caf Champions League tie in Enugu, while Rivers United host Malian side AS Real Bamako at the Yakubu Gowon stadium, Port Harcourt.

In the revers fixtures, Rangers held their hosts 1-1 last week in Béchar, and it finished goalless in Bamako.

Meanwhile, FC Ifeanyiubah opened their Caf Confederation Cup campaign with a 1-0 win over Egypt’s AL Marsy, while Wikki Tourists lost 2-0 in Sierra Leone.
