No Casualty in Mandilas Building Fire – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has provided a comprehensive update on the ongoing firefighting efforts at the Mandilas Building on Broad Street, Lagos Island.

In a post on X, Sanwo-Olu shared that the fire, which originated on the 1st floor, escalated to the 4th floor. This was as he hailed the brave teams from Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations who actively engaged in firefighting operations to contain and extinguish the flames.

While the cause of the fire remains undetermined, investigations are underway to ascertain its origin. Sanwo-Olu emphasized that, thankfully, no casualties have been reported in connection with the incident.

In a bid to reassure the public, the governor urged everyone to remain calm, assuring them that all first responders are diligently working to bring the situation under control. The firefighting teams, along with other first responders and security personnel, received commendation from Governor Sanwo-Olu for their unwavering dedication in facing this challenging situation head-on.
