The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has ranked the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, the 15th place for structures and processes put in place to ensure the promotion of ethical standards and the anti- corruption fight in the Agency.
Speaking at the anti-corruption sensitization workshop for Directors & General Managers recently organized by the Agency’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), the Head, Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Division (CMED) System Studies and Review Department (SSRD), ICPC, Abuja, Mr. Olayinka A. Aiyegbayo revealed that among the 360 Ministries, Departments and Agencies, NiMet scored 79.9 percent, clinging the 15th position.
While delivering his welcome address, the Director-General/CEO, Professor Mansur Bako Matazu, represented by the Director of Legal, Mr. Abdu Ahmed Esq. commended the ACTU for organising the workshop and encouraged them to keep up the good work, while enjoining the participants to make meaningful contributions during the workshop in order to make it a success.
The theme for this year’s workshop is “The Role of Management in Achieving the Agency’s Vision in a Corrupt-Free Work Environment”
