NiDCOM Vows Action as Chinese Allegedly Murder Nigerian Student in Philippines

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, has promised to look into the case involving the murder of a Nigerian student in the Republic of Philippines by some Chinese.

The death of the student, identified as Ikem, was disclosed by one Michael Ojuola in a post on his X handle on Sunday.

Ojuola wrote, “A friend of mine, a Nigerian medical student named Ikem studying in the Republic of Philippines, was brvtally mvrdered by a group of Chinese.

“They tied his hands up, covered and tied his mouth, and he was beaten blue-black until he gave up the gh*st.

“This should never be allowed to get swept under the carpet regardless of the relationship between the Philippines and China!

“This is so inhuman and barbaric! I can’t even think straight at the moment because of the horrific videos I’m getting right now from the hospital.”

In a separate post on his X handle, Ojuola shared videos of the remains of the deceased.

His caption read, “RIP Ikem! No one deserves to go through this. No arrest has been made yet, as I write. This young man was brvtally mvrdered.”

Reacting, NiDCOM demanded more information on the deceased while promising action on the situation.

The commission shared on X, “Thanks for bringing this to public attention.
Was this formally brought to the attention of the Nigerian Embassy there in the Philippines?
Can you DM us and furnish us with more details?
His full name, location, etc
Please send to our official e-mail — ( @[email protected] ) while our Chairman contacts the embassy.

“We will definitely look into the matter once we get more information.

“Our prayers are with the family and the loved ones.”
