NEMA Provides Purified Water For Benue Community

As the water released from Lagdo dam began to subside, the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in collaboration with National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have continued to purify water for the victims in the affected communities.

The community of Kucha Utebe in Makurdi Local Government Area was not left out of the intervention as residence in the community were beneficiaries of the 3000 liters of purified water.

The Executive Secretary of SEMA, Dr. Emmanuel Shior was represented by Hon. Chia Alexander who ensured the smooth flow of the process.

Recall that the purification machine have been in the state since the beginning of the flood and had purified thousand liters of water in different communities including Agatu Local Government Area.

The representative of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, Mr. John Digha has assured residence that the purification machine would continue to purify water until the victims return to their homes.
