NEMA Commences Airlifting Of Relief Materials For Flood Victims In Bayelsa.

Following the devastating impacts of the flood situation in Rivers and Bayelsa States that has also affected road transportation, the National Emergency Management Agency has commenced the airlift of relief materials in partnership with the Nigerian Airforce to Port Harcourt and Yenagoa for distribution to the communities.

On Tuesday, relief materials were loaded into the Airforce Hercules C130 aircraft at the Benin Airport for onward delivery Port Harcourt, where some of the items were moved by a Helicopters to the Helipad in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The items were received in Port Harcourt by NEMA South South Zonal office and State Emergency Management Agencies staff of Rivers and Bayelsa states for distribution to persons affected by 2022 flood disaster.
