It’s now five straight wins for the Super Eagles against Algeria following Saturday’s 3-1 victory over the Desert Warriors in a Group B qualifying game for Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup.

Unbeaten since 1990

The three-time African champions have not lost to the North Africans since 1990, and Victor Moses ensured Nigeria began on the right track with a 26th minute opener.

Captain John Obi Mikel then doubled the lead just before half time.

Nervy moments for Nigeria

But the Algerians did not give up easily as Nabil Bentaleb pulled one back to restore hope for the Foxes and put the home fans in panic mood.

Nigeria, however, put the game to rest when Victor Moses scored his second to seal three points for the Super Eagles.
