Mohbad’s Death: Police Hint at Plans to Cause Unrest, Incite Public Against Govt

The Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has hinted that there may be hidden agenda by some individuals to capitalize on the death of singer Mohbad to cause unrest and incite the public against the government.
Mohbad died last week in a controversial manner that has earned a probe by the police.
However, while a police investigation is going on, some social media users have been calling for the arrest of those suspected to be behind the singer’s death.
Also, a protest to demand justice for Mohbad has been scheduled to take place at the Elegushi beach in Lagos, a development that some quarters are likening to the EndSARS protest that led to arson.
In a post on X, Adejobi assured that anyone indicted in Mohbad’s death won’t go unpunished.
He said, “Anyone who is indicted in this case won’t go unpunished. Whatever it is, there must be investigation concluded and report forwarded for necessary action. If it’s on this mohbad matter, the matter is received due attention. Except there are hidden agendas that certain individuals want to use to cause unrest or incite the public against the government in Nigeria.”
