Allegations have emerged of the discovery of mutilated bodies, including those of commanding officers and soldiers, floating in the river of Okuoma community in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Community sources have disclosed to Vanguard that some of the officers’ bowels were torn open by their assailants.

Speculation arose regarding the military’s handling of the corpses, with suggestions that they may have been moved to morgues elsewhere, potentially in Bayelsa or Warri.
