Militants Blow Up Another Forcados Oil Pipeline

ForcadosMilitants have blown up another Trans Forcados Export Export Pipeline in the creeks of Warri South West Council Area of Delta State.

The attack occurred 10:45pm on Tuesday night. The pipeline feeds the Forcados Export Terminal operated by Shell/ Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).

However, Troops of Operations Delta Safe had repelled the militants from carrying out a similar attack barely 24 hours ago around Batan community. The pipeline feeds the Forcados Export Terminal operated by Shell/ Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) with crude on Tuesday.

Avengers Did It

Meanwhile, the Niger Delta Avengers have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Avengers Spokesperson, Mudoch Agbinibo, confirmed the attack in series of tweets on his Twitter handle on Wednesday. He said the attack was to warn oil companies from carrying out repair works on any damaged line.

The tweets read:

“Today at 10:45pm our elite strike team (strike team 6) has blown up the Forcados Export Pipeline. This action is to further stress that we don’t appreciate the repairs of blown pipelines.
