NPFL: MFM Set To Add To Rangers’ Problems

By Oladipupo Mojeed
MFM FC will be hoping to add to the woes of Enugu Rangers as they welcome the Enugu base side to the Agege stadium, Lagos tonight in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) clash.
The Olukoya Boys are currently occupying the fourth spot with 12 points in 7 games and are aiming to take one of the three continental spots available in the league.
The visitors, and current holders of the NPFL title, are languishing just a place above relegation after an indifferent start to the season that saw them lose their opening game at home. They, however, have qualified for the next round of games in the Caf Champions League.
Rangers’ clash, a big game-Ilechukwu

Not looking at the current predicament of the current NPFL champions, coach of the Olukoya Boys, Fidelis Ilechukwu, described clash as a ‘big game’.
“It is going to be a big game,” Ilechukwu told goal.com
“Rangers have not scored enough goals in any of their games. And it means that there is a sort of tactical misunderstanding perhaps between the midfielders and the attackers.
“They are not in good shape for now,” he added.
“What we are trying to do is; we do not want to look at Rangers not having good performance because I know that we cannot judge them based on that. Plus they have a good team with a coach that matches.”
MFM have a hundred percent record at the Agege Stadium and Ilechukwu insists there will be no special treatment for the current champions.
Last season, this fixture between both sides ended in a 1-1 draw at Agege as the Coal City Boys churned out results on their way to winning the league.
