A former commander of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group identified as Joseph David has disclosed that he married two of the 278 Chibok school girls kidnapped almost three years ago.

According to The Nation, David who was earlier a Christian, explained that the two Chibok girls were part of his benefits for being a commander in the group.

He said that he was abducted by the terrorist group from his native Mubi in Adamawa State, when he was 22.

The former commander claimed he was a student of the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola at the time.

David, who is now in custody, also disclosed that he was being paid N500,000 per month or its foreign equivalent as a Boko Haram commander.

While 57 of the girls managed to escape, four were found by security forces. 21 of them were released, after government entered a deal with Boko Haram, while 196 are still missing.
