Man Arraigned For Allegedly Defiling 11-Year-Old Boy

The charge is unnatural offence.

The prosecutor, Adeniyi Oyeyemi, told the court that one Kelechi Agba of ECWA church, Kogo, Bwari, reported the matter at the police station on Nov.29.

He alleged that the defendant called him, the victim, to his room and defiled him.

“Ayuba had sexual intercourse with the boy through his anus,’’ Oyeyemi said.

Bail

The prosecutor begged the court to refuse bail because the charge isn’t bailable. He argued that the police consider the accused a flight risk.

The defence counsel, Ezenwa Ojum, however, urged the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms.

The judge, Umar Kagarko, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000, with one surety in like who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

Thereafter, he adjourned the case till March 9, 2017.
