Chocolate City Audu Maikori’s Arrest: M.I. Abaga, Banky W, Fans React

The recent upsurge of angry fans and celebrities like M.I Abaga and Banky W, over the arrest of the Co-founder and former CEO of the Chocolate City music label, Audu Maikori sprang following the authority’s failure to release him.
Audu Maikori Transferred To DSS Headquarters
The former CEO, following his arrest in Lagos was taken to the DSS headquarters in Abuja for further questioning in line with his tweets about a Southern Kaduna killing by Fulani herdsmen.
Meanwhile, Maikori who tweeted to allege that his driver’s younger brother and five other students from the College of education Gidan Waya, were ambushed and killed on their way to school, had later retracted the statement after livid reactions from social media users.
Maikori said that his driver had misinformed him in order to extort money from him, while he apologised to the stakeholders in the purported killings.
With news of his arrest and transfer to DSS headquarters trending on social media pages, Nigerian artiste, Banky W and other fans have echoed their concerns and quickly coned the #freeAudumaikori hash tag to get the movement together.
