Victor Akande, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, on Tuesday said the party would soon resolve the leadership crisis rocking it.

Akande, a lawmaker representing Ojo Constituency I, noted that the party’s internal crises were not abnormal as, according to him, there is no political party without leadership challenges.

”We are not experiencing strange thing in our party, every political party including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has factions and crisis.

”What is happening in our party is a visitor and it will go. The crisis will be over,” he said.

Akande further blamed PDP’s defeat in the 2015 general election on internal wranglings.

The lawmaker debunked speculations that he is planning to cross over to the APC.

”I don’t know anything about defection. However, let me say all I know is that Victor Akande is still a member of PDP until I say otherwise. I have faith in my cause. I am still in PDP,” he added.
