By Concise News correspondents

With few hours left before Christmas, Lagosians have been trooping out in numbers to buy LAKE rice from specified distribution points across Lagos metropolis.

LAKE rice, an acronym from Lagos (LA) and Kebbi (KE), is a partnership between the two states to produce cheap, well-milled local rice on a commercial scale for public consumption.

The local rice, earlier billed to hit Lagos markets for N13, 000 per bag on 15 Dec., is now finally selling at N12,000 per bag.
