Photonews: The Hair Or The Match? Ask Kuznetsova

31-year old Russian, Svetlana Kuznetsova won the 2016 WTA finals in Singapore on Sunday. She defeated defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska in a somewhat dramatic fashion.

She had shown signs of frustration in the match. Her hair was disturbing.

“It was bothering me a lot. When I was hitting the forehands I hit a good shot and it would hit my eye,” she said.

“I thought, ‘what’s more important? My hair, which can grow, or the match?”

At the beginning of the 3rd set, she asked the umpire for a pair of scissors and did this:

Pain doesnt kill me, I kill the pain

Funny enough, she wears a tattoo on her right bicep that states “Pain doesnt kill me, I kill the pain”. The hair was the pain and kill it, she did.

And she was glad she did.

So, when a part of your body tries to stop you from your glory, do you do a Kuznetsova?

But, lest you forget…
