Kogi Polls: Melaye Calls for Cancellation of Election in Five LGAs

Kogi State governorship candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, has called for the cancellation of elections in five local governments within Kogi Central.
Melaye asserted that the electoral process in Okene, Okehi, Ajaoukuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo was nothing short of a coordinated scam orchestrated at the highest echelons of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a post on X, Melaye asserted, “INEC must cancel the election in the 5 local governments of Kogi Central.” The seasoned politician did not mince words in labeling the electoral proceedings in these regions as deeply flawed and manipulated. His allegations shine a spotlight on what he perceives as a blatant abuse of the democratic process.
Melaye, known for his outspoken nature, did not provide specific details during his statement but insisted on the seriousness of his allegations. The call for nullification raises concerns about the integrity of the electoral system and the extent to which political maneuvers may influence election outcomes.
