Kogi Govt Dispels Rumour, Says School Resumes Monday

The Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has reacted to information that resumption date for primary and secondary schools in the state has been shifted or postponed.

The management of the Ministry, in a statement, dispelled the information as a rumour and informed the general public that resumption date for primary and secondary schools for the second term stands as scheduled on Monday 10 January, 2022.

The statement was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Pst. Emmanuel Idenyi.

It read in part, “The Ministry employs official means to disseminate information to the general public and would not for any reason rely on the grapevine or rumours to pass important announcements to the general public.

“School administrators, proprietors, parents/guardians, students and the general public should please take note and adhere strictly to the Ministry’s school calendar.

“Please be assured of our best services always.”
