Keyamo Mocks Foreign Lawyers’ Plan To Stop Tinubu’s Inauguration

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has made shocking allegations regarding opposition parties’ alleged plans to legally obstruct the inauguration of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu before May 29.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) further claimed that certain legal practitioners have been brought into the country to execute this agenda.
Keyamo, however, dismissed the entire undertaking and the reactions it garnered as nothing more than the product of ignorance. He asserted that unscrupulous individuals were capitalizing on what he referred to as “nattering nitwits.”
He wrote, “I read somewhere that some supposedly learned fellow is assuring the nattering nitwits that the inauguration of @officialABAT can be legally stopped before May 29th and yet another story that some foreign lawyers have been flown in to achieve that purpose. And I read many excited reactions from these nitwits.
“Then I shook my head and murmured under my breath, ‘illiteracy is truly a disease and it is sad that some unscrupulous characters are taking advantage of these poor fellows”.
The President Election Tribunal has announced that Monday has been scheduled as the starting day for the hearing of petitions filed by opposition parties aiming to challenge the victory of Bola Tinubu.
In the meantime, preparations for the transition of power are in full swing as President Muhammadu Buhari is preparing to hand over the reins to Tinubu on May 29.
