Abdullahi AbdulHammed, the Chief Iman of Imale, Ilorin, has asked Nigerians to continue praying for President Buhari’s quick recovery and safe return.
It Is Normal For The President Buhari To Embark On Medical Trips- Cleric
AbdulHammed, who is a former lecturer of Islamic Studies at the Kwara College of Education, said this on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
He decried the inference by some people that President Buhari would not return to the country alive.
The Iman said such talks are sinful and people should desist from them.
He said it is normal for the President to embark on medical trips going by his age.
AbdulHammed urged Nigerians to continually offer prayers for the nation’s leader, regardless of their tribe, language, culture and religion.
The Muslim cleric eulogized Buhari’s fight against corruption since his assumption of office in May 29, 2015, praying to God for its logical conclusion.
”The nation is endowed with all potentials to be great, but corruption, which has reached an alarming stage, is retarding the progress of the country in all sectors of the nation’s economy,” he said.
