The Office of the Attorney-General, Monday afternoon, filed a 15-count charge against Justice Adeniyi Ademola at an Abuja High Court.

Also charged alongside Justice Ademola is his wife, Olabowale Ademola, who is current Lagos State head of service. The charge detailed how Justice Ademola and his wife allegedly schemed and executed the corrupt act within two years.

Summary of charge

The charge prepared by Hajara Yusuf of behalf of the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, stated that the Ademolas solicited and obtained the N552m from legal counsels of people who had cases before them.

According to the charge, some of the law firms who bribed the Ademolas include Messrs Joe Agi and Associates as well as Messrs Johnson and Johnson Associates. The Ademola’s allegedly received the monies through their GTB accounts.

Concise News recalls that Ademola was first first apprehended when the DSS carried out a nationwide sting operation on corrupt judges.

Justice Ademola consequently withdrew from the trial of former NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), as well as that of a terrorism case involving one Haruna Abbas and two others.
