Justice Ademola, Wife Face Justice In Court Today
A Federal High Court Judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola and his wife, will be arraigned before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory today.
The arraignment of the two last Monday failed to hold due to the absence of the defendants in court.
Ademola and his wife, Olabowale, the Head of Civil Service in Lagos State, are standing trial over a 15-count charge of corruption to the tune of N248 million.
While the said arraignment had, though, been scheduled on the course list of the court, counsel to the Federal Government, Segun Jegede, told the court that the court bailiff could not serve the judge with the summons last week because Justice Ademola was in Lagos.
Jegede, however, informed the court that counsel to the defendants, Jeph C. Ejinkeonye had indicated he would receive the summons on his client’s behalf.
On his part, Ejinkeonye assured the court that his client would be present in court for arraignment on the adjourned date.
