Jordan 2016: Former Falcons Star Rules Out Flamingoes

The Flamingoes need miracle to qualify for the quarterfinals of Jordan 2016 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
That is the view of Former Nigerian international, Stella Mbachu.
The Flamingoes are last in Group C with one point, after playing out a goalless draw with England, following their opening game defeat to Brazil.
They will square off with group leaders Korea DPR on Saturday, needing a win and hope for a draw in the game between Brazil and England.
But Mbachu is not confident of their chances.
The former Super Falcons winger said that aside lack of confidence, the team did not have the best of preparations for the competition.
“The team suffered from stage fright in their first match and it cost them the points from that match. The players didn’t prepare very well for the competition.
“It will now take a miracle for them to qualify from that group as it stands. In previous competitions when they prepared better than this, it showed in the way they played. But when a team going to the World Cup is busy playing against local sides, the performance will definitely not be too good.”
