Joint Taskforce Arrests Seven in Lagos for Unlawful Possession of Arms

In a recent enforcement operation led by Mr. Shola Jejeloye, the joint team comprising Enforcement Officers from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, and the Special Taskforce on Environmental Offences apprehended seven individuals in Jakande Estate.

The suspects were detained for unlawful possession of arms and for assaulting the enforcement officials during the operation. Following their arrest, the individuals have been transferred to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.

The crackdown underscores the concerted efforts of law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order while ensuring compliance with regulations governing environmental offenses in Lagos State. Such operations serve as a deterrent to criminal activities and uphold the rule of law in the region.
