Iyaloja-General Inspects Ultramodern Shopping Complex in Lagos

Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, conducted an on-site evaluation of the new ultramodern shopping complex under construction at the Oluwole Market in Victoria Islands, Lagos State on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Engaging in discussions with the engineering team from Dominant Engineering Limited, led by Pastor Tokunbo Olofin, it was revealed that the complex would boast over seven hundred shops and warehouses across the 4th and 5th floors. Equipped with three elevators for efficient mobility, the complex aims to provide convenience for customers and goods transportation.

During the roundtable, the Iyaloja-General urged developers to consider inclusive payment structures to accommodate low-income earners, ensuring that the real market traders can benefit from the project.

Attendees included General Manager Pastor Agboola Ademola, Project Manager Architect Emmanuel Oluga, Site Engineer Oladimeji Segun, Site Builder Engineer Mohammed Busayo, and Admin Manager Olugbenga Ajibare.

Following discussions with developers and engineers, Chief Dr. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo and her team embarked on a comprehensive inspection of shops in the Oluwole Market to assess the challenges faced by traders.

During the tour, concerns were raised about heaps of refuse along the roadside, prompting the Iyaloja to task market leaders with immediate measures to address the issue. She emphasized the potential health hazards and urged cooperation with waste managers for prompt evacuation.

The tour concluded with gratitude from market operators who appreciated Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo for her generous Christmas and New Year packages and for addressing critical issues impacting the market community.
