Ita-Giwa Decamps To APC In Cross River State

Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, a former presidential adviser, will today, defect to the All Progressives Congress, Cross River State chapter.

Ita-Giwa, who disclosed this on Thursday in Calabar, said she was moving from the Peoples Democratic Party to join the APC.

She said that she had been in her former party for over one year doing nothing, adding that she was moving with her huge supporters from her Bakassi constituency to the APC in Cross River State.

Ita-Giwa was elected as senator to represent the Cross River South senatorial district on the platform of the All Peoples Party from May 1999 to May 2003.

After leaving the senate in 2003, she joined the PDP, and became former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters.
