Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was detaining leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because of its upcoming National Convention.

In a post on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the former minister of aviation described the arrest as ”shame”.

Fani-Kayode wrote: ”EFCC has detained ex-Gov’s Wada of Kogi, Danladi of Taraba, Suswan of Benue, Sen. Grace Bent of Adamawa and former Min. Adamu Wakil of Borno all in the last 2 days. They are all PDP leaders.

”ALL this because the PDP Convention is fast approaching and because of 2019. Shame.”

The PDP chieftain also took a swipe at Nigerians that condemned him for calling Vice President Yemi Osinbajo a dwarf.

”The lack of sense that some people consistently display amazes me.

”So it’s ok for VP Osinbajo to keep calling GEJ and opp. leaders looters and thieves but it is not ok to call him a lying dwarf for saying so?

”Nonsense! The more bricks he and his boss throw the more they will get,” he stated.
