Human Error Caused Collapse Of Church Building , Says Governor

Human error caused the collapse of Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, that is according to the Governor of Akwa Ibom state,  Udom Emmanuel.

Governor Emmanuel has assured the people of the state that anyone found guilty by the investigative panel would be punished accordingly.

Speaking during the state’s Christmas carol festival in Uyo at the weekend, the governor acknowledged the pains of the affected families.

“No calamity can separate us from the love of God. We remain the only state that is named after God Almighty and our faith in the Lord remains sacrosanct,” he said.

The Reigners Bible Church collapsed during the bishopric consecration of its founder, Apostle Akan Weeks, and killed scores of worshipers on 10 December.

Governor Emmanuel was present at the Church when its building collapsed. The governor, however escaped unhurt.
