France and Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has signed a contract extension that will keep him at White Hart Lane till 2022.
The 29-year-old, who has appeared 151 times for the club, joined in 2012 for a fee of £7.8 million from AJ Auxerre.
The goalie, who is the captain of club and country, was optimistic and said: “Hopefully the best years are ahead.’’
This extension follows that of Harry Kane who also signed a new contract earlier this month. It also puts paid to all transfer speculations surrounding the goalkeeper.
Lyon are entitled to 20 per cent of any profit Tottenham make should they sell Lloris.
