How We Dominated Man United with 4-0 Victory – Crystal Palace Manager

Crystal Palace delivered a stunning performance against Manchester United at Selhurst Park, sealing a decisive 4-0 victory in Monday’s Premier League clash. Palace’s coach, Oliver Glasner, shared insights into his team’s strategy following the match.

The game saw Michael Olise score twice, with Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell each adding a goal, securing a comprehensive win for the Eagles. This victory marks a significant achievement for Palace, emphasizing their capability and determination in the league.

Glasner attributed his team’s success to superior control of the game, particularly in the second half, where his players outperformed Manchester United in fundamental aspects of play. He praised his squad for their consistency and efficiency, which proved crucial against Erik ten Hag’s side.

“I think the first-half, we didn’t really play as well as we could, so it was not that consistent,” he told Sky Sports.

“In defence, we opened the middle too often and they could find the pockets and we had a little bit of a problem, but we were very efficient, so we scored very nice goals.

“But, at half-time, we made two or three adaptations, the players listened again and in the second-half, we were much better and were in much more control of the game.

“We created a lot of chances, we scored nice goals, but we were a little bit more consistent in our basics and so it’s a great win, and congrats to the team.”
