Hoops & Read Are NBBF Division One Champions

Hoops & Read are winners of the 2016 National Division One Basketball Championship.

The Lagos side defeated the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps 82-60 in the competition’s final match on Sunday in Abuja.

Both sides had already gained promotion to the DSTV Basketball League, having topped their respective conferences.

Hoops emerged winners of the Atlantic Conference, while the NSCDC, also known as the Defenders, won the Savannah Conference.

Meanwhile, Police Baton placed third in the competition after edging Abuja All Stars 45-40 in the third-placed game.
