Tiwa Savage, Wizkid Top Nominees As Headies 2016 Awards Holds Dec. 22

As several music lovers anticipate Nigeria’s most prestigious indigenous music awards “Headies”, which holds on Thursday, December 22, at the prestigious Eko Hotel And Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, prominent artistes like Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay top most of the categories.

The Headies 2016 will be hosted by Falz and Adesua Etomi and holds at the Eko Convention Centre on the December 22, 2016, with the red carpet kicking off at 7 p.m.

According to the executive producer of The Headies, Ayo Animashaun, the only way to ensure your favourite artiste win is to vote for them.

‘We are not going to take responsibility if another underdog wins a category; the only way to avoid that is to vote,’ he said.

Also in this year’s edition, the event will kick off immediately after the red carpet at 9 p.m. with the gate closing at 8:45 p.m.

The Headies have also partnered with a cab service provider – SMART CAB, who will provide free ride to and from the event venue.
