Renowned Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, revealed in a recent video message circulating on social media that he has been grappling with unemployment for an extended period. The veteran thespian, known for his memorable roles in the film industry, spoke out in response to a viral video depicting him working as a fuel attendant at a gas station in Delta State.
Expressing his plight, Anuku disclosed that despite his status as a legend in the Nigerian film industry, he has been facing a prolonged period of joblessness, struggling to make ends meet. The video message serves as a heartfelt appeal to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and Anuku’s fanbase, urging them to extend assistance in his time of need.
He said, “I have worked for this country. I have attained the height of being a legend. But I’ve had no job for, God knows, how many years. And I expect that Nigerians will also know that I did it all for them.
“I just gonna ask Governor Sheriff [Oborevwori] to please send support to me. And my fans who truly love and appreciate the works I’ve done for them, if you think you truly love me, may God help you all to help me.”
