It was gathered that the Germans were abducted while working inside a bush at Jenjela village in the morning hours of the day.
The gunmen were also reported to have killed a local hunter who tried to stop them from taking the foreigners away.
Police in Kaduna state have disclosed that the abductees have been working with the Nok Archealogical Centre in the area for the past 10 years.
According to spokesman for the police in the state, Aliyu Usman, the German nationals have been conducting research on Nok Terracota and Artifacts.
The Germans were said to be in company of the villagers while working inside the bush before the gunmen invaded the bush and took them away.
The spokesman explained that adequate security had been provided for them since their arrival in the state, but in some cases, the foreigners would decide to move about freely with the villagers especially during their research work inside the bush.
Aliyu further said the Anti Kidnapping squad of the police and other special forces are already on the trail of the kidnappers with the hope of rescuing the victims.
