A group called the Coalition of Urhobo Nation Youth Leaders and Stakeholders (CUNYLS), has called on the Federal Government to release a video of a healthy President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari who had embarked on a medical vacation and was expected back on Feb 6, later extended his stay indefinitely, prompting continuous speculation on his state of health.
The group made the suggestion through a statement by its convener, Rex Emojite Ekiugbo Anigboro and its acting Coordinator, Blessed Ughere.
CUNYLS recommended former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Alex Ekwueme to lead a delegation of statesmen to the United Kingdom to visit President Buhari.
”We demand that a delegation of statesmen led by a former president pays a courtesy visit to Mr President in London, or wherever he is, and this visit be visually recorded and relayed to all Nigerians.
”We demand that the president’s state of health be immediately publicly declared for the benefits of all Nigerians.
”We recommend former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Alex Ekwueme to lead such delegation,” the group said.
CUNYLS accused the presidency of instigating more rumours in its bid to quell the ongoing rumours.
It said the continuous silence of the authorities, would lead to an open invitation to a power tussle capable of destabilizing the current government from actualising its campaign promises.
