Concise News has obtained the full list of the freed Chibok girls as released by the FG yesterday in Abuja.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, released the names of the affected girls on his twitter handle.

The names of the girls are:

2. Jummai John
3. Blessing Abana
4. Luggwa Sanda
5. Comfort Habiba
6. Maryam Basheer
7. Comfort Amos
8. Glory Mainta
9. Saratu Emmanuel
10. Deborah Ja’afaru
11. Rahab Ibrahim
12. Helin Musa
13. Maryamu Lawan
14. Asabe Goni
15. Deborah Andrawus
16. Agnes Gapani
17. Saratu Markus
18. Glory Dama
19. Pindah Nuhu
20. Rebecca Ibrahim

Shehu, who had earlier announced the release of the girls, said their release was the outcome of negotiations between the Federal Government and the Boko Haram sect.

He said the negotiations were brokered by the International Red Cross, Red Crescent Movement as well as the Swiss Government, adding that the negotiations would continue.

The Director-General of Department of State Service, Alhaji Lawal Daura handed over the freed girls to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the DSS Medical Centre, Abuja.

No Swap For The Freed Chibok Girls – VP

Addressing State House correspondents after addressing the girls, the Vice-President dismissed online media report that the freed girls were swapped with four Boko Haram commanders, NAN reports.

He assured that government would ensure speedy release of the remaining girls in captivity.

President Muhammadu Buhari had solicited the assistance of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in negotiations with Boko Haram for the release of the girls.

In May, one of the more than 200 girls kidnapped from their school dormitory on April 14, 2014, escaped from their captors with her baby.
