First Lady Laments Cabal Presence In PMB Government

First Lady, Aisha Buhari has bemoaned the take over of government from her husband by a cabal who are “behind presidential appointments”

Mrs Buhari disclosed this in a yet to be released interview with BBC Hausa Service. She lamented that most of the appointments made are people unknown to the President and the first family. She added that people who were not part of the success story of the last election have taken over Buhari’s administration.

Mrs Aisha Buhari posited “the President does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either despite being his wife for 27 years.”

She further revealed “some people are sitting down at their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or ministerial position”.

Mrs Buhari claimed that “some of them don’t even have voters card, and those who made sacrifice have been reduced to nothing and certainly not happy with the way things are going.

She however refused to name the ‘cabal’ saying “you will know them if you watch television.”

First lady threatens to withdraw support in 2019

Mrs. Buhari also gave a subtle warning to her husband to withdraw support for him come 2019. She warned that ‘unless the president shakes up his government’, she will not campaign openly as she did in the last elections.

Even though President Buhari has not told her of his decision, she has decided to withdraw support. She advised the president to take urgent steps to ensure usurpers are dealt with.

The first lady said this in reaction to Buhari’s popular declaration that he belongs to everybody and belong to nobody.

The controversial interview is expected to air Saturday morning on BBC Hausa magazine programme “Gane mun Hanya”.
