The Nigerian Government says it plans to spend over N100 billion on the reconstruction of the Northeast, a Boko Haram ravaged region, in 2017.
Muhammed Danjuma, the Director of the Presidential Committee on the Northeast Initiative (PCNI) Programmes, made this known on Tuesday at the Northeast Coordination Forum and PCNI dashboard launch in Abuja.
The director said the Federal Government is also going to execute about 21, 000 projects in the region.
Danjuma pointed out that the dashboard will ensure the effective coordination of programmes and projects in the region, thereby ensuring the efficacy of interventions and mitigating duplication.
“The dashboard will track projects and interventions across the six states and 112 local governments areas in the Northeast zone,” he explained.
