President Muhammad Buhari, Thursday, 12th May 2022 commissioned the Gombe State National Housing Project. The President who was represented by the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), expressed delight that the long awaited project had come to fruition.
In his keynote address, the Honourable Minister disclosed that “the provision of beffitting, affordable accommodation for its citizens was one of the promises made by this administration and the commissioning of this project today, is part of the fulfilment of that promise. This is the first phase of the project and phase two is underway”. He urged the people of the state to take advantage of the affordable rates and the friendly payment plan to become homeowners. Professor Pantami also commended the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing for delivering on the project in good time.
The estate is made up of seventy six units comprising of forty eight two bedroom bungalows, twenty four units of three bedroom bungalows and four units of one bedroom bungalows. It will be recalled that the Gombe State government had donated the land for the housing project in 2016.
