Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has blamed Cristiano Ronaldo for their 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.
Reflecting on United’s disastrous result at the Goodison Park, he said that the Portuguese made life easy for the Everton defender by detaching himself from the entire team.
Ralf Rangnick’s side struggled to make any effort after Anthony Gordon’s 27th minute opener for Everton.
Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford produced a sharp late save to deny Ronaldo what would have been a scarcely deserved equaliser for the Red Devils.
“In terms of chances, they don’t look like creating chances, they don’t look like they’re getting anywhere near creating any good chances,” Ferdinand told Vibe with Five.
“And the problem is as well, they put the ball in the box and Cristiano Ronaldo is on his own half the time, by himself – for a centre-back [it’s easy],” he added.
