Expedite Your Work on The Budget, Saraki Tells Committees

Dr Bukola Saraki, the Senate President, on Tuesday, charged the chairmen of the various Senate Committees working on the 2017 budget proposal to hasten their work.
Saraki gave the directive during a closed-door meeting with the chairmen and leadership of the senate.
Senator Dino Melaye, Chairman, Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, while speaking with news men gave details of what transpired.
”We discussed the budget and the Senate president said we should expedite action on the passage of the budget. He also asked that critical areas in the budget be properly investigated and looked into,” he said.
President Buhari had in December last year presented a N7.298trn budget proposal to a joint session of the National Assembly.
