Delta Wins 7th National Youth Games
Delta State has once again asserted its dominance in sports by emerging victorious in the 2023 National Youth Games (NYG), held under the theme “Asaba 2023.” The state secured a total of 116 medals, extending its winning streak for the seventh consecutive year.
Team Delta showcased an impressive performance, amassing a remarkable medal tally of 51 gold, 34 silver, and 31 bronze. This remarkable achievement underscores the state’s commitment to sports excellence and youth development.
Lagos State claimed the second position in the competition, securing a total of 61 medals. Their medal breakdown comprised 21 gold, 19 silver, and 21 bronze. Lagos State’s commendable performance contributed to the overall success of the games.
Edo State clinched the third position in the NYG, demonstrating their competitive spirit and dedication to sports. The state garnered a total of 53 medals, which included 21 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze.
