Former Super Eagles handler Christian Chukwu is confident the team would get the better of South Africa in a Group E 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on 17 November, 2018.

The three-time African champions took charge of the group after recording back-to-back wins against Libya this month.

They had started the group phase qualifiers on a losing note, as they lost to the Bafana Bafana 2-0 in Uyo last year.

And speaking ahead of the reverse fixture in South Africa, who are one point adrift of the Eagles, Chukwu, who won the African title with the then Green Eagles in 1980, said Nigeria had the momentum.

“The Super Eagles must let South Africa know that they are now more prepared than before,” he said.

“They must grab their three points from there without any doubt because they are good now.”
