Customs: Tincan Command Declares N25.6bn Revenue


Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Tincan Island Command has announced that it generated N25.6 billion revenue in September.
Area Controller, Comptroller Bashar Yusuf said the various strategic plans it initiated made the earnings possible. This is towards enhancing the generation capacity of the Tincan Island Port.
He highlighted that the command had strengthened the competence of the critical areas, identified and blocked all areas of leakages. It had also done capacity building in modern Customs operations and commitment to work.
Yusuf added that Tincan Island Port is a benchmark command. It is determined to making the port a hub, with the entrenchment of due diligence in all areas of its operations.
He assured that they will not renege on their efforts. He called for stronger relations between the Command and stakeholders for the actualization of expected results. Also, he expressed optimism that other policies that have been introduced into the system will soon yield good results
Yusuf commended compliant importers/agents for their deep sense of patriotism. They have helped the command in achieving its revenue targets.
Furthermore, the controller promised that compliant importers/and/or their agents will continue to receive the support of the command. They will enjoy the full benefit of compliance.
