Cooreman, Dokubo Fired By Akwa United

Maurice Cooreman has been dismissed from his post as Head Coach of Nigeria Professional Football League outfits Akwa United.
This was made known in a statement issued by the club’s media officer Uwem Ekoh, who revealed that the gaffer was fired due to poor disciplinary record throughout last season.
“Yes, the management have decided to terminate the appointment of coach Cooreman ahead of the new season.
“We have reviewed the past season, and it is obvious that the management needed to make some changes,” Ekoh stated.
The 73-year-old Belgian was disengaged along with Chief Coach of the side Ere Dokubo.
Both coaches guided the Promise Keepers to 14th place at the end of last season.
