Omokri Reacts To Buhari’s ‘Abraham Descendant’ Comment
A former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said it is an insult for President Muhammadu Buhari to describe himself as a man of peace.
Buhari in an article in the UK-based Church Times Magazine claimed that he is a “descendant of Abraham.”
Buhari had also said that he is peace-loving and urged Nigerians to be tolerant of one another irrespective of religion.
However, Omokri blamed the media outfit for giving a “tyrant the platform to lie.”
“It‘s an insult for Buhari to claim in his consultant written oped that “Along with millions of Christians, I believe in peace,” he tweeted.
“This is a man that threatened to “soak” his political opponents in “blood”. I blame @ChurchTimes for giving a tyrant a platform to lie!
“Has @ChurchTimes investigated @MBuhari? A man whose army killed 348 unarmed Shiite men, women and infants just because they blocked a road.
“CT should watch @YouTube videos of soldiers shooting unarmed Shiites in Abuja. Buhari believes in blood, not any dirty peace!”
He lamented that Buhari “had the guts to tell @ChurchTimes “Muslims and Christians must first turn to one another in compassion.”
“What compassion did Buhari show his fellow Muslim Shiites? If he can’t love a Shiite and has killed so many of them, is it a Christian he will love?
“After herdsmen (Buhari did not tell @ChurchTimes he was once their Chief Patron) killed 150 people in Plateau on June 24, 2018, Buhari said, “There is nothing I can do to help except to PRAY.”
“But He did not PRAY about IPOB or Shiites. He sent soldiers to kill them! #RenosDarts
“The @ChurchTimes would do well to @Google Bridget Agbahime. This 74-year-old female evangelist was beheaded in Kano for Blasphemy after preaching.
“The five suspect that were arrested were released on a ‘no case submission’. Where is @MBuhari’s justice for Agbahime?”
