Bournemouth Stun Liverpool In Sensational Comeback

By Andah John
Bournemouth produced a remarkable fightback from 2-0 and 3-1 down to stun Liverpool 4-3 in a Premier League game at the Vitality stadium.
Liverpool cruising
As expected, the Red’s took command of the game from the outset. It was not long before Sadio Mane drew the first blood when he controlled Emre Can’s ball over the top, held off Ake and poked home.
Liverpool doubled their lead through Divock Origi as he went past Artur Boruc and curled home from a tight angle.
The gamechanger
Bournemouth did not sit back and do nothing. They responded. Eddie Howe brought on Ryan Fraser in the 55th minute and that was when Liverpool’s problem began.
Seconds later James Milner brought him down in the area and Callum Wilson scored the penalty.
The Reds extend lead
The Reds must have thought they had the game under wraps as Emre Can put them ahead 3-1 with a 20-yard curling effort.
Few minutes later Fraser scored his first Premier League goal when he tucked home after Wilson’s cross had hit the heels of Benik Afobe.
Thereafter, Steve Cook drew the hosts level when he swivelled and volleyed home.
And the winner
At this point, it looked like both sides would settle for a share of the spoils. But The Cherries had the last laugh when Loris Karius spilled Cook’s shot and Ake tapped home into an empty net.
